Marwa Rakha:Open Access E-Books
Marwa Rakha lunched and took a step to encourage online free publishing of digital books in Egypt and other parts of the world. She took this step due to the abusive publishers. Rakha’s website includes and hosts great numbers of digital books for free in English and Arabic as well as her own work…Interestingly, this is one way to celebrate open access e-books for the public.
On Writing Dissertations
In the below interesting interview, Alan Macfarlane discusses writing dissertations. He taught at the Department of Social Anthropology Cambridge University. As an anthropologist and historian he worked on different countries, such as England, Nepal, Japan and China. You can find more about him in his personal website.
Also check the post of Kerim at savage minds concerning his advice to post graduate students, who are working on writing their dissertations. I find writing around 500 hundred words works a day is a practical idea and this works well if you have the chance to follow it.
